FISHING HOLIDAYS

PNG is well known in fishing circles, with West New Britain ranking high on the list of must fish destinations. At Baia Sportfishing Lodge a maximum of twelve anglers can experience world class fishing for Papuan Black and Spot Tail Bass. Other species to be found include Yellowfin Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, Trevally, Barracuda, Wahoo, Mackerel, Mahi mahi, Queen fish, Red Emperor and more.

Fishing from Baia gives a choice of five river systems within 35 minutes of the Lodge, beyond which are numerous reefs and estuaries yet to be explored. Baia boasts purpose built fishing boats allowing access to rivers, reefs and offshore fishing areas. Lures, lines and rods are available from the Lodge on a pay if lost or damaged basis.

Baia alos offers bue water game fishing - heavy or light, from a 34’ Steber. In addition to Baia, Niugini Holidays can arrange Sport Fishing Holidays to Bensbach, Lindenhafen, or Game Fishing from Kavieng.
