Bookings and Travel Information
All costs indicated on this website including Air Niugini airfares from Australia are quoted Ex Cairns, on a per person basis in Australian Dollars unless otherwise indicated.
Deposit and Balance of Payment
Non-refundable deposit of $200 per person will be required on issue of a Confirmation Invoice. Your Confirmation Invoice will contain any Special Booking Conditions applicable to the holiday you have booked. Final payment is due 30 days prior to departure, or earlier when advised at time of booking. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment will be due immediately. Fees will apply for payment made by credit card.
Amendments & Cancelation
An amendment fee of $25 per change will apply after issue of Confirmation Invoice. Should your booking be cancelled up to 21 days prior to departure, full deposit will be forfeited, in addition to fees imposed by service suppliers. Should your booking be cancelled between 21 and 5 days prior to departure, deposit will be forfeited, in addition to $165 per person and any fees imposed by service suppliers.
Should this booking be cancelled from 5 days prior and up to the date of departure, 100% of the tour price will be applied as cancellation fee. Cancellation after travel has commenced will result in 100% of the tour price being forfeited. No refunds will be made for services not utilised after travel has commenced, for any reason whatsoever. Postponement of travel date is treated as a cancellation.
Travel Documents
Each person travelling will require a passport with validity exceeding 6 months at the time of travel. Tourists who have an Australian passport may obtain a short-term visitors visa on arrival into PNG for a fee of approximately A$50. Alternatively a visa may be obtained in advance from the PNG Consulate Offices in Brisbane or Canberra. Non-Australian passport holders should check current visa requirements for entry into PNG.
Health Requirements
A course of anti malarial tablets is recommended. Please see your doctor for a prescription and further medical advice on travel to PNG.
Insurance
Insurance is not included in the trip cost and we recommend you purchase a personal travel insurance policy to cover cancellation, sickness, accident and evacuation. Please contact us for further information.
Baggage
Baggage allowance is limited to 20 kilos per person, plus a daypack or flight bag.
A higher allowance applies for divers travelling on Air Niugini flights. On programs that include flights by light aircraft or charter flights, baggage allowance is limited to 12 kilos per person, plus one piece of hand luggage. Whilst every care is taken with baggage, no responsibility will be accepted for any loss, damage or delay.
Baggage insurance is recommended.
Not included in the price
Excess baggage charges, cost of passport, visa fees, laundry charges, meals unless specified, drinks, insurance, telephone charges or any other personal expenses incurred by trip participants. Australian and PNG port, entry and departure taxes will be shown on Confirmation Invoice as a separate cost component and are not included in trip costs shown in this brochure. Trip costs include planning and operational costs and the price quoted represents a package price.
Tour Fulfillment
Niugini Holidays specialise in travel to Papua New Guinea and have many years experience researching and establishing tours and events, which is operated in conjunction with local suppliers. PNG is a developing country where tourism is in its infancy and many of our products support local citizen enterprises. Although Niugini Holidays regularly check the quality of product offered, we do not accept liability for damage, accident, loss, injury, disappointment, delay or irregularity in connection with any flight, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing or any service included in
your trip. In the case of land services included in the package that cannot be supplied, any claim for refund must be made in writing, with full details of claim stated and will be limited to the value of individual services and subject to Niugini Holidays receiving a refund from suppliers for services that have been pre-paid. Niugini Holidays does not accept liability for any additional costs associated with airline or transportation delays, nor does it guarantee any refund for services that cannot be used due to such delays. In the event of any legal action being taken against Niugini Holidays, the client / Travel Agent agrees when paying tour monies and / or accepting travel documents, that such action will take place in, and be under the terms of the laws of The Independent State of Papua New Guinea.
Validity
Airfares, tour costs, schedules and taxes are current and remain subject to change without notice. The programs and airfares contained in this Website are valid for travel up to and including 30 December 2008 but remain subject to change without notice by participating service providers.
